News Announcement:

There’s Something Fishy at Proximity

New project for the

Institute of Marine Research

Proximity, together with Smart Sea System AS, will provide an exciting solution for the recording of herring and mackerel stock in the Northeastern Atlantic based on RFID technology.

For several decades now, the Institute of Marine Research have developed and implemented methods for mackerel (and other fish species) stock measurements.

With digitization comes a new solution; using RFID chips to tag a percentage of the mackerel population which are then automatically registered and recycled when the fish are caught and processed at fish plants around the North Sea Basin and Iceland.

Infrastructure has now been established and Proximity, together with, among others, Smart Sea System AS will provide a modern web-based solution for this purpose.

We thank you for your trust and are looking forward to delivering new solutions to exciting new environments.
